These two short videos (2 and 4 seconds) are to demonstrate the importance of L-screens. They are designed to be a barrier between you and the ball coming at you.

It is important once you throw your pitch, which is a meatball to begin with, to move out of the way. The first video shows a lazy move away after the soft toss and it results in a just miss.



Once we moved the screen back for BP, the lackadaisical effort to protect oneself became a habit for the day. This wasn't a hard hit, and it did barely ricochet off the L-screen, but it made contact with the BP pitcher when he should have been completely behind the L-screen.
